The number of international tourist arrivals in Venice increased significantly in 2023 over the previous year, exceeding the figures reported before the impact of the COVID-19 pandemic. Overall, inbound tourist arrivals in the city reached around 4.9 million in 2023. Inscribed in 1987 on the UNESCO World Heritage List, Venice is one of the main tourist destinations in Italy.
